Atleet is one of the most beloved cheese brands in Estonia, the recipe of which has remained unchanged ever since it was first created. The author of the recipe dating back more than 40 years is Valve Kelp, technologist at the Võru cheese plant, who was awarded the bronze medal at the Moscow exhibition of people’s economic achievements in 1984 for developing Atleet cheese and technology. The structure of Atleet cheese is airy and lacy and the quality is premium and reliable as is characteristic of Võru cheesemakers.
